Wine route of Tekov

One of the unique features of the Tekov Region that has been present for centuries is the vineyard and wine production industry. It is given by the specificity of this region, mainly by the soil, either on the tuff volcanic subsoil of Štiavnické vrchy and Ipeľská pahorkatina, or on the limestone subsoil left by springing thermal springs.

Historicky sú obchod a výroba hrozna v Tekovskej oblasti písomne zaznamenané už v 11. storočí.
V posledných rokoch sa vinársky priemysel rozvinul do takej miery, že začína dávať zmysel aj v odvetví cestovného ruchu. Ponúka možnosť vychutnať si prírodu, históriu a samotné víno v podobe príjemného nezabudnuteľného zážitku.
